One of the most disturbing, idiotic, fucking things said by a photographer. I can’t really get down with Tyler Shields, most of his stuff is overly photoshopped or looks like he snaps it with a point and shoot. I have always said it is not the camera that makes the photographer but with him I wish it was because sometimes I think he wouldn’t really know what to do without an expensive fucking digital. I don’t find his work very good and I know that art is subjective, there are a million people out there who support him and think he is a genius. He pushes the envelope and I understand he is “expressing” himself but then again he is a Celebrity photographer which to me means he is allowed to be shitty as long as he keeps it chummy with them. There is a lot of hatred going along with this post but then again being a woman and reading the quote above I think gives me enough reason to be upset. I guess what I am trying to say that being a good photographer is a gift, like being a good singer, actor, what not. You have the power to capture things and have people see them through your eyes, why waste this on pictures of Lindsay Lohan dripping with blood ya know???
